Do you absolutely LOVE those girl scout thin mint cookies but hate that guilt you feel after eating a whole sleeve or box? Here is my GUILT FREE alternative!
1 scoop chocolate shakeology
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 tsp mint extract
You can’t go wrong with a healthy sweet tooth alternative. I live off this stuff (:
So it’s been a while since I’ve posted on here and I’m thinking about blogging at least once a week again. It seemed to keep me accountable with my weight loss!
Since I have been off I have had my ups and downs. I am back on track and ready to reach my weight loss goals!
Today I tried out a new healthy pancake recipe. Since I have been dying for pancakes but I wanted something a but more healthy, I found the perfect recipe! For those with kids, this would be a perfect finger food!
Healthy Banana Pancakes
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1. Mash banana in a medium bowl.
2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the two eggs.
3. Add eggs to banana and whisk together until thoroughly combined. Whisk in salt and cinnamon.
4. Preheat a griddle or large skillet over medium heat. Spray griddle with cooking spray and use a tablespoon to drop batter onto griddle. Let set for a few minutes, and then flip with spatula. Cook for an additional minute or two on remaining side and remove to plate.
This makes about 15 mini pancakes but I just made big ones for myself!
I am IN LOVE!!! I don’t think I will make pancakes any other way. I would probably add fruit toppings or add some walnuts for a little crunch and texture next time!
Alright, it’s been a few days since I last posted but I’ve been super busy with work and life in general that I’m definitely in need of some relaxation time.
So yesterday, Monday December 2nd, I started my first day of Insanity. It was only the fit test and man oh man can I feel it today. I can definitely tell this is going to push me to my limits and beyond, but I’m ready for a challenge and a life changing routine.
With Insanity I have to eat a crap load of food, which is going to be difficult for me to even eat all of it. 5 meals a day can be pretty difficult to conquer.
My breakfast, which is a high-protein whole-grain ceral, flax seeds, a banana and milk. I usually use unsweetened almond milk but I forgot to bring it with me today.
Who doesn’t love cottage cheese? Nom nom nom!
And my first time last night I made chicken meatballs with whole grain noodles and marinara sauce. Soooooo good and so healthy.
I’m excited that I can eat the foods I really enjoy and not feel like I’m totally lacking something. Heck, I’m human and I still crave the bad foods but I tell myself all this hard work will be worth it once I reach my goals.
Hope everyone has a fantastic Tuesday!
I hope everyone has a happy and safe Thanksgiving, whether you’re traveling or staying home!
Today marks the 30th and final day of my challenge through my Beachbody coach…
I lost 16 pounds and 13 inches!!
Yes I worked my ass off to achieve that and I am so proud of myself, I am human and cheated a few times on the meal plan but I didn’t let that slow me down.
Heck, I even got 4 miles in today at the gym and set a new time record of 44:30!
Next week Monday I start an Insanity challenge group! I’m ready for this new challenge and I am looking forward for more results 🙂
Sending love to everyone today!
Today marks the day that I am down 30 POUNDS from my highest weight!
I am super excited to continue this journey and keep the progress coming. Hard work really does pay off and the majority of this weight I have gotten off of me in less than 3 months.
All it takes is a lifestyle change and some motivation to make your life better. I couldn’t be more happy than I am right now at this time in my life.
Have a wonderful Wednesday 🙂
The picture on the left is from Febuary 2013, and the picture on the right was just taken this month.
Don’t think you could lose weight? Use this as motivation! If I can do it, so can you!
I have a long way to go to reach my goals but seeing the difference makes me want to push myself farther!
I am now a Team Beachbody Coach!
I’m super excited to start my journey as a coach and extend my support to those who are struggling with weight issues like I am. I’m ready to put more into my health and this is the perfect way to do it!
Happy Monday! 🙂
